At the end of 2013 I worked with 500px, helping out with some design for the marketing side of their website.

500px is an online community for discovering, buying, sharing and selling photography. I designed new Apps, iOS, Upgrade, Jobs and Blog pages that are all still being developed. I also designed the recently released About page.

The 500px community has some amazingly talented contributors, it was really nice browsing through literally thousands of stunning photos and deciding which to use in the design comps, very inspiring stuff.

At 500px they have an already well established visual style, so it was my task to work within those limitations, while adding some creative visual elements that hopefully show off the company character.

My designs are really just the start of the process, as the developers at 500px work on the code side they are adding subtle animation and lots of improvements, making the pages more interactive. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the designs go live, and how the guys at 500px improve upon them.
